8/1/2008 - Failure to Stop and Render Aid

Complainant:  Flores, Ian  LM  12/24/73

            

Synopsis:  On Friday, February 22nd  2008 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Ian Flores was riding his yellow 2005 “Big Dog Chopper” eastbound on Wurzbach Parkway.  Just past Perrin Beitel heading towards Thousand Oaks, Ian was struck from behind by a light colored P.T. Cruiser also traveling eastbound.   Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.  The P.T. Cruiser was abandoned down the street and at least one male was seen running from the suspect vehicle.  Investigators are asking for anyone that has specific knowledge of this crash to come forward and provide additional information to help solve this case.

6/20/2008 - Murder of Marcus Nettles

Offense:    Murder   SAPD Case#:  80 411676

Victim: Nettles, Marcus  BM 12/09/81

 

Synopsis:  A night out with friends turned tragic for a San Antonio man during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 1st, 2008.  It was just after 2:30 a.m. when 26 year old Marcus Nettles and some friends were leaving an apartment complex in the 3100 block of E. Commerce Street.  Marcus was sitting in the front passenger seat when gunshots rang out.  Marcus was shot in the head and was transported to area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

6/19/2008 - Murder of Larry Ford

Offense:      Murder  SAPD Case#:  80 444734

Complainant: Ford, Larry (59)  W/M 12/20/48

 

Synopsis:  On Thursday, June 12, 2008, SAPD officers were called to a 4-plex in 200 block of Riverside Dr. When police arrived they found the decomposed body of 59 year-old Larry Ford inside of his apartment. There were signs of a struggle however robbery does not appear to be a motive.

 

Ford was last seen alive by neighbors several days earlier on Sunday June 8th, at approximately 6:00pm. Police need witnesses to come forward.

6/18/2008 - Burglary of Residence

Offense:  Burglary Habitation Residence X3   Selma Police Department Case# 08-0202

 

Today Crime Stoppers involves a recent string of residential burglaries in Selma. Over a two day period, three homes were burglarized taking property valued at approximately $5000. After the last burglary the suspects sold some of the stolen property at the Shell gas station located at 7103 Harlow, across from the flea market.  One of the suspects has a very distinctive carving in his hair which should easily be identified. 6/17/2008 - Murder of Blase Allen Wright

Offense:          Murder                                   Universal City Police Case #:  07-001853

 

Complainant:  Wright, Blasé Allen       WM  11/27/85

 

Location of offense:  100 Block Palisades Drive

 

Synopsis:  On Friday, February 2, 2007, at approximately 3:00 pm Universal City Police were called to an apartment complex in the 100 block of Palisades Drive. When they arrived they found the Blasé Wright on the floor, dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the face.   Investigators are asking for the public’s help as they seek a motive and the identity of possible suspects. Witnesses recall seeing a female sitting outside Blasé’s apartment in a compact gold vehicle prior to the murder.  They also witnessed a black male go up to the victim’s apartment and run back down several minutes later, getting into the gold vehicle away which sped away.  Attached is a composite of the female.  Anyone with knowledge of this murder is asked to call the tip line. Police urge anyone having any information to come forward at this  time and call Crime Stoppers.

6/16/2008 - Murder of Evaristo Mena

Complainant:  Mena, Evaristo Hispanic (33)               HM 02/08/75

 

Location of offense:  346 E. Mitchell

 

Synopsis:  In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 4th, 2008, police were called to the 300 block of E. Mitchell for a cutting. When they arrived they found 33 year-old Evaristo Mena lying on the ground. He had been stabbed and was then taken to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers.

6/12/2008 - Murder of Lorenzo McNair

Location of offense:  2500 Block Jackson Keller

 

Synopsis:  On April 10th, 2008 at approximately 09:50 pm Lorenzo McNair was standing outside the building of his girlfriends apartment at the Jackson Square Apartments in the 2500 block of Jackson-Keller.  A small red truck, possibly a Chevy S10, pulled up along the curb next to where Mc Nair had been standing. The passenger of the vehicle approached McNair and shot him for no apparent reason. The suspect vehicle was occupied by at least two people. The vehicle then fled on Jackson-Keller towards Loop 410.

6/1/2008 - Murder of Maximino Garza

Offense:             Murder         BCSO Case#:  2006-131087

Complainant: Garza, Maximino  HM  11/23/1982 (23 years old)Suspect Vehicle:  Dark colored vehicle (unknown license plate)Synopsis:  On Thursday, November 2nd, 2006, at approximately 10:30 pm, Bexar County Deputies were called to the intersection of Quintina & Kinney Road.  When they arrived they found the body of Maximino Garza who had been discovered by a railroad employee. Garza died of multiple gunshot wounds and was then dumped on the railroads tracks.  He was last seen alive earlier that same day by family members. Witnesses reported seeing a dark colored vehicle leaving the railroad tracks around the time the body was found.

5/23/2008 - Murder of Michael Medina

 Complainant: Medina, Michael (40)        H/M 07/05/1967

 Synopsis:  On Wednesday, October 24th, 2007, SAPD officers were called to 823 Schley for shots fired. There they found Michael Medina deceased from a gun shot wound.  A tan, Mercury Grand Marquis with three Hispanic males was seen fleeing the scene.  One person has already been arrested for the murder of Michael Medina, but further information is needed on his accomplices.  Anyone with any knowledge about these suspects or the complainant is encouraged to call.

5/9/2008 - Murder of Roxann Cobos

Victim: Cobos, Roxann        H/F 05/28/81 (26)

 

Synopsis:  On Wednesday August 1st, 2007, the body of 26 year old Roxann Cobos was found on the side of the road in the 14500 block of Somerset Road. Roxann was last seen alive by friends two days earlier on Monday, July 30th. On that Monday she called a friend around 9:30 p.m. to say she was on the way home.  Roxann never made it home and leaves behind three young children.  She was still alive when paramedics arrived, but died shortly afterwards.

1/11/2008 - Unsolved murder of Shelia Tullos

On Thursday, October 26th, 2006, Shelia Tullos was murdered, the victim of an apparent car jacking. Around 7:44 p.m., Tullos was driving north on Harlow Road in her husband’s white 2003 Ram truck. At the intersection of Harlow and Lanark, Tullos was shot by an unknown passenger inside the truck.  Tullos was then pushed out of the driver’s side door.  As she lay in the street, the actor ran over her body as he made his get away, fleeing west on Lanark towards Austin Hwy.
