On March 28, 2018, at approximately 4:42 p.m., a known shoplifter entered the Dollar General at 119 Castroville Rd.  The Hispanic male shoplifter was observed concealing several items in a brown trash can that he had placed inside of a shopping cart. The store clerk observed the male shoplifter attempting to leave with the stores merchandise through a rear door. The clerk used a metal merchandise shelf, and blocked the shoplifter’s path. The Shoplifter pulled a pocket knife out of his pocket and pointed it at the clerk. The shoplifter told the clerk “ill cut you, if you don’t let me leave”. The clerk said she feared for her life, and allowed the shoplifter to leave.
