On June 12, 2018, at 6:54 p.m., an unknown black male suspect entered the Rue 21 store and greeted two ladies sales associates by saying “how are you ladies”, and then said “sorry about this ladies”. The suspect took two arm loads of clothing off of a display table and attempted to leave without paying. One of the sales associates became aware of the suspect actions and ran to the front door and locked it. A struggle ensued, and the suspect pushed the sales associated to the ground twice. The suspect unlocked the door and fled carrying some of the clothing. As a result of the struggle, the female sales associated sustained scratches, swelling and felt pain.
