Synopsis:
On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 9:10 pm, the unknown driver of a silver 2014 Chevy Impala was traveling eastbound on the 4300 block of W. Commerce in the outside lane. The victim, Richard Tovar, was not at a pedestrian crosswalk. Tovar crossed the street from north to south and was hit by the Chevy (pictured above). The Chevy fled eastbound on W. Commerce. EMS arrived at the scene and Richard Tovar was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Chevy, when found, will be charged with one count of Failure to Stop and Render Aid - Death.
