On Friday December 16, 2022, the victim was traveling south on the access road of 1604 N in a 2014 red Toyota Camry. The driver of a 2013 blue Chevrolet Camaro disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of Westwood Loop and 1604 N. The Camaro crashed into the passenger side of the Camry. The Camry was disabled in the number 3 lane. That crash was handled under case SAPD22272793. The victim exited her vehicle and walked to a private driveway. An unknown vehicle was traveling south in the number 3 lane and swerved to the right to avoid crashing into the victim’s vehicle. The unknown vehicle went onto the sidewalk and struck the victim. The victim was found in the grassy median and suffered life threatening injuries. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled from the scene without rendering aid to the victim. The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital on 12/16/2022 due to the injuries she suffered from the crash.
