Synopsis:
On Saturday June 17, 2023 at approximately 2:15 PM, the elderly victim was sitting at the bus stop near the Walmart on Austin Hwy when she saw the suspect walking by her. She stated the suspect sat next to her on the bench and she offered him a drink as she sensed tension. She stated the suspect grabbed at her purse and aggressively pulled it from her arms. The victim had the purse handle around her arm so when the suspect pulled the purse it caused injuries to her arm. The victim released the purse. The suspect ran off and minutes later, used the elderly victim’s debit cards at the Walmart on Austin Hwy. The suspect is believed to frequent the Austin Hwy area.
