Synopsis:
On Saturday July 1, 2023, the victim was at the intersection of W. Houston St. and Leona where charities were passing out food to the homeless. The victim was approached by the suspect who asked to buy drugs from him. The victim denied selling drugs and the suspect then brandished a machete and cut the victim on the throat. The victim was able to run to the VIA park and ride on Frio St. and bystanders rendered first aid and called 911. The suspect fled the location.
