Synopsis:
On Friday, March 25, 2022, at 7:00PM, SAPD officers responded to the intersection of S General McMullen and El Paso St for a report of a shooting in progress. Juan Mendoza was in his vehicle, a silver Dodge Charger, with another occupant and had stopped at the red light. Juan was facing south bound on General McMullen when a reported black sedan pulled up next to Juan and fired into his vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene. Juan was struck with gun fire and would eventually succumb to his injuries.
