Synopsis:
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8:36 pm, SAPD Central Patrol Officers responded to the Sunshine Laundry business located at 1030 Culebra Road for a shooting in progress. Upon their arrival they located Hyman Ira Lopez Jr. in the rear exterior of the property with a gunshot wound to his head. Hyman Ira Lopez Jr. was pronounced deceased at the scene by San Antonio Fire Department medics. Video evidence from the property shows the victim sitting in the rear parking lot with two unidentified (2) females and an unidentified male just prior to being shot.
