Collision Involving Death - Joseph Smothers

Information leading to the identification and the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the collision and death of Joseph Smothers.
Synopsis:
On Saturday September 7, 2024 at 8:43 PM, Joseph Smothers (above picture of victim) was crossing 5001 Fredericksburg Rd. outside of the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The suspect driver failed to stop and render aid. Smothers was transported to University Hospital were he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators found a license plate and parts belonging to a 2020 Toyota Tacoma (above picture of suspect vehicle). The vehicle has been located, efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspect driver.
