Synopsis:
On Saturday April 19, 2025 around 6:11 AM, Casey Escobar was walking northbound in the southbound lanes on IH-35 N in the number 3 lane, where pedestrians are prohibited. The victim was walking in a dimly lit area of highway when an unknown vehicle traveling southbound struck him. The suspect driver failed to stop and render aid and the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. Vehicle debris found at the scene showed the suspect vehicle to be a 2017-2019 Nissan Rogue Sport, metallic gray in color (stock photo provided). There is damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle and it appears to be missing the passenger side mirror.
