Synopsis:
On Sunday, 6/28/2026, while at North Central Baptist Hospital, a 75-year-old victim was heavily medicated following surgery when she received a phone call from a suspect impersonating an SSFCU employee. The suspect claimed the victim’s debit card had been compromised and later went to the hospital, where the suspect provided the victim with a temporary debit card and obtained her debit card and PIN. The suspect then used the victim’s debit card at nearby ATMs and retail stores, resulting in a substantial financial loss to the victim.
